Strabane RFC are delighted to announce the launch of our North West Barbarians Youth Academy. As a talented or aspiring Rugby player, you will have the chance to train and play in an environment that’s as close as it gets to a professional club. Our Head Coach Ruan deBeer has an outstanding track record of developing players as well as preparing them for a career beyond their sport. Each season from September you will engage in 2 x 12 week programmes, that includes classroom, skills, gym, sports nutrition and pre-arranged friendly fixtures with quality opposition across the island.

For U14s and U16s age groups.

There will be an expectation that players will attend all training sessions in Barbarians Academy training kit, further enhancing the experience of a professional experience and benchmark. Players can select their own socks when they play friendlies and train for the Barbarians, with a choice to wear the socks of their current club or the first club they ever played for.
